Family Photos

One of my neighbors is a photographer and she took our family pictures. Besides the one we sent in our Christmas cards, here are a few of my favorites.

I know there is someway to put a slide show on a blog so I'm going to have to figure out how to do that and post some more of the photo shoot.

Catch a Rabbit

This is another pre-Christmas event with kitchen items (see previous post). He got the strainer and started running around swinging it in the air yelling, "catch a rabbit, catch a rabbit" and then bringing the strainer to me so could take the rabbit out.
I have no idea where he got the idea that nets catch things and really, a rabbit? Later on in the evening he was doing the same thing only catching tigers. I tried to explain that usually you catch butterflies, but he had other ideas.
He has also used the strainer for catching bees. Weird kid.

Pot Head

Before JJ got all his fun toys for Christmas he really had nothing fun to play with (ha,ha) so he had to make his own fun by taking all pots, pans and cooking utensils out of their drawers and "cook" with them. On this particular day...
...the pot belonged on his head.

A Funny

Warning: the following post may embarrass some of my more sensitive readers.

We were in Target tonight picking a few things up and JJ picked up a box of something. Jeremiah saw it and told him he needed to put it back. For whatever reason, JJ decided to give it to the teenage boy sitting by the pharmacy. It was at this point that Jeremiah and I both take a good look at the box and notice that it is KY his & her ... well, you know what I'm talking about (you've seen the commercials) and if you don't, don't ask anybody, it's embarrassing. The boy looked disturbed and gave it back to JJ. Poor kid.

Long time, No post

It feels like forever since I've posted. I'm still recovering from our trip. It usually takes 2-3 days to recover from a trip/vacations, 2-3 days to clean up from Christmas and a couple of extra days to account for all the "help" from JJ, so I'm hoping by Monday to be back into a routine. All the Christmas stuff is put away in bags and containers, but we can't get it into the shed because of the snow that is piled up in front of the door. So it's all in the garage and the living room.

I'm also getting ready for a big Enrichment meeting next Tuesday. It never fails that whenever we have an activity, I also have a million other things that need to get done. AAAAHHHHHH! I'm sure I'll get it all under control eventually.

I have tons of pictures and stories to post as soon as I get around to it, so stay tuned.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year Everyone!

As far as resolutions go, it's pretty much the same as last year. Be a little bit better at everything I do. Better at my responsibilities. And waste less time watching TV.

2008 was a really good year for us. I know lots of people struggled, but we have been really blessed, so I'm hoping 2009 is at least as good, if not better and wish the same for all our family and friends. We count you all among our greatest blessings.
