Arizona Vacation

I've finally got a few minutes, hopefully at least an hour, so I thought I would do some blogging catch-up. We recently spent 10 days in Arizona visiting my parents. We had such a good time and really, really loved the weather.

The drive wasn't too bad; both boys did really well. We just plugged JJ into my iPhone (love that thing) with some music and his favorite movies, fed him gummie bears and juice and he was good to go. Ryan had just barely started realizing there were things to see outside the window, so that kept him pretty entertained most of the time. He had a few melt downs, but they were minor and to be expected.

They have a nice little farmers market in the downtown area that we visited both Saturdays. This is JJ in the gigantic bell and boot.

We remembered to bring JJ's tricycle and everyday, at least once, someone took him on a ride around the block. He was just the happiest kid. One of the houses had a cactus that was dying, but JJ thought it looked like an octopus, which it kind of did. So we would have to find the octopus cactus everyday.

He spent so much time outside and was so well-behaved. I can't wait til we have that kind of weather here at home.

Looks like you guys had a fun time! Too bad we didn't get to get together. Next time! We love the zoo and would have a pass if we lived closer. We'll be going in a few wks for Sophie's b-day! The train park looks like fun and we've heard good things about it but have never been. You've encouraged us to make it there!
