AZ zoo

My favorite thing to do when we go to AZ is to go to the zoo. That zoo is amazing and the weather in the winter is perfect for animal watching. Again, too many great pictures to post here so they're on the Mac site. Something new we did this time was feed the sting rays. JJ was all about it. It's kind of cool. You make a fist and stick the fish or shrimp in the middle, then stick your hand down in the pool as far as it will go and they come by and suck it up out of your hand. It's pretty powerful suction. My mom remarked how amazed she was that her daughter, who freaks out after catching fish, would touch a dead one to feed a sting ray. My only reply is it's amazing what a mother can overcome to give her children cool opportunities.

We also got to feed the giraffes. Their tongues are like sandpaper.
